Mr. Z's Bees

Ever since I was a child, growing up on a ranch, I would spend the  summer months sitting in the driveway watching the bees that where in the wall of my grandfather's work shop on the farm. It piqued my interest and sparked a curiosity in me and I was eager to learn more about these fascinating creatures we call honey bees.

I started bee keeping with 2 hives in 2010 and as of today I am a sideliner with approximately  100+ colonies. My small hobby has turned into a business to help farmers with pollination and the community at large learn about the wonders of our fuzzy friends who play such a crucial role in our lives today and the future of our food.

our bees...

We keep our bees in the mountains in the spring to mid summer on small farms that use natural growing practices. Then in mid-summer until fall we move our bees to the central Valley between the fields of Melons, Alfafa and Cotton. With these few locations we have produced award winning honey.

In 2015, we won 2 first place awards in the International Black Jar honey tasting contest: one in the southwest regional  category and the other in the Speciality category. We were also awarded Best of Show at the Draft horse classic harvest fair in Nevada County  in 2015.

As of 2016, we have new locations in the bay area and are hopeful to expand and thrive in these new bountiful locations. Thank you for your interest and support.

Sincerely,
Eugene Zuspan
